it was my birthday last sunday...
It was great, my friends gave me a surprise party and i didn't even remember it was my birthday because a close friend just had her baby at 7 months, and i was just too freaked out and just returned from the hospital.
then my mother threw me another surprise party with the people who are my family (though most of them are not related).

*_* i've never gotten so many gifts in my life, i don't think.

In any case, the baby girl was ok, tho i haven't been able to see her yet... they named her Marcia Cosima, which amuses me no end. It's such a mafia name... *_*
My first present to her was a white little overall which had BEAR EARS sewn on the cap. BEAR EARS *dies from cute*

that aside, i said i'd show what i was doing, so here is an unlettered page from the print NM i'm finishing.
I think it's my favourite from this chapter...

I'm glad too, especially since the news got twisted along ten or so mouth-ear exchanges and the actual story i got told was "did you hear Jimena had a miscarriage?" O_O I don't even remember *how* i got to the hospital.

It was more like shock. Why are people giving things to me? XD
And most of my gifts were kitchenware and house-prettifying things. *_* i must be getting old. When did people stop thinkng CDs and underwear and jewellery were good gifts for meeee? T_______T

Guh, I'm sure the look of relief on your face once you found out what was really going on could have soothed the savage beast in anyone. Talk about wild distortions! O_O;;

Don't feel too bad - you can become an eccentric inventor in your spare time and put all those "utensils" to use in building small catapults and suits of armor that serve you toast. *nods* I have a dream today!

I think i'll be flooding my LJ with pictures of the baby in 3 weeks or so...
She's the first baby to be born from my friends or family, and the chances of there being any more are zero.

Shading still drives me crazy, i think i like it even simpler than this to the point where i look and the bare inked lineart and think maybe it looks better unshaded. *_*
Or maybe i should go for flat shading, to echo the flat black... *rambles*
